Terms of Service
Last updated August 18, 2026.
These terms govern your use of the DOST website and mobile app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, you agree to them.
Who can use DOST
DOST is a community platform for a real nonprofit's programs, events, membership, volunteering, and donations. Accounts are for real individuals; a household account can also include dependents (typically children) added by a parent or guardian, who don't sign in independently unless they have their own account.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication, which is available on every account free of charge.
Community conduct
DOST's chat and community features are for real dialogue, service coordination, and togetherness — not harassment, hate speech, spam, or content that endangers anyone, especially minors using the platform. We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this, with or without notice, at our reasonable discretion. Reported messages may be reviewed by DOST staff with a moderation role for the specific purpose of handling that report — see our Privacy Policy for exactly how that's scoped.
Minors and guardian consent
Where an activity requires guardian consent, that consent must be given by a real, recorded guardian through the app before a minor is registered — this is enforced by the Service itself. A guardian is responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide about a dependent in their household.
Donations
Donations made through the Service support DOST's programs. Once real payment processing is enabled, donations are processed by our payment processor under its own terms; refund requests should be directed to us using the contact information below. Recurring donations can be managed or cancelled at any time from your account.
Content you provide
You keep ownership of content you post (profile information, messages, photos you upload). By posting it, you grant DOST the limited right to store, display, and transmit it as part of operating the Service — for example, showing your message to the people you sent it to. You're responsible for having the right to share anything you post.
Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from your account settings, no need to contact anyone. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is deleted and what a small set of records (like donation history, kept for our own nonprofit recordkeeping) retain in an anonymized form.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable and secure, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where required by law, notify you more directly.
